Forty Years of Educating the Industry on the Benefits of Screening

Gurnee, Illinois U.S.A., May 5, 2020 - On February 29, 2020 Philip A. Thompson officially retired as President of Enviro-Care. Phil joined Enviro-Care at its Rockford location in 2011 and within 3 years had made the company a very desirable acquisition target. In 2015, Enviro-Care was purchased by the WAMGROUP® of Modena Italy and the company moved to Gurnee IL.

“As the former President/Owner of Hycor Corporation, Phil knows how to grow a company.” stated Steve Rioux the new President of Enviro-Care. “It has been a great learning experience working with him for the past 5 years.”

Saveco North America, Inc. located in Gurnee Illinois is a headworks company supplying screening and solids/grit management equipment to the wastewater industry. Enviro-Care entered the market in 1972 with manufacturing facilities in Chicago and Rockford, Illinois. In February 2015 Enviro-Care was purchased by the WAMGROUP® of Modena Italy and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of SAVECO®, WAMGROUP’s water and wastewater division. In March of 2015, Enviro-Care and FSM® Frankenberger GmbH & Co. of Pohlheim Germany entered into a licensing agreement for the sale and marketing of FSM equipment into the North America market.
