WAMGROUP® Appoints Thompson President of Enviro-Care Company

Modena Italy, April 8, 2015. The WAMGROUP® is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip A. Thompson as President of WAM North America, Inc. dba Enviro-Care Company.

The WAMGROUP purchased Enviro-Care Company on February 1, 2015. Mr. Thompson had been the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Enviro-Care under the previous owner.

Thompson was the former President and Owner of Hycor Corporation, the leading provider of liquid/solid separation equipment for municipal and industrial applications with emphasis on fine screening. He later became President of Waterlink Separations after its acquisition of Hycor.

“Phil brings a long history of success in the headworks screening market and is highly respected within the industry.” explained Marcello Marchesini, Vice President of the WAMGROUP. “His industry knowledge and high energy leadership makes him the perfect choice for this position.”

“I'm pleased to be given the opportunity to work with the WAMGROUP as they make their impact in the North American Wastewater market.” stated Thompson. “Enviro-Care faces many challenges in today's market that need to be addressed. To address these challenges we have assembled a very experienced team of professionals that will dramatically grow our business. I look forward to working with our new team of screening pros.”

About Enviro-Care

Enviro-Care Company of Rockford Illinois is a headworks company supplying screening and solids/grit management equipment to the wastewater industry. Enviro-Care entered the market in 1972 with a line of grinders designed specifically for pump stations and CSO’s. It later introduced a reciprocating rake screen, solids dewatering equipment and conveyors. As North American treatment plants began to recognize the importance of headworks screening, Enviro-Care began its search for higher capture screening equipment.

Today Enviro-Care Company is the exclusive licensee in North America for SAVI S.r.l. of Mantua Italy. SAVI was founded in 1978 and is a worldwide leader in wastewater treatment equipment. The partnership with SAVI greatly expanded the Enviro-Care product line. With the addition of SAVI’s rotating drum screens for wastewater and MBR pre-treatment; a proprietary septage, FOG and sludge screening system dubbed the “Beast”; and multiple washing/dewatering options; Enviro-Care / SAVI products can be found providing the same exceptional quality and cost-effective technology in more North American wastewater applications than ever before.
